Without a doubt, she has been hailed a style icon for the past few decades. Alongside a killer wardrobe, Kate Moss is unquestionably an important figure in the fashion industry.  She is currently the face of US Vogue’s most highly anticipated issue of the year, the September issue. Plus, she recently looked impeccable on her wedding day in her John Galliano dress. Still creating up a storm in the fashion world, we dedicate this week’s Star Style Lust to Kate Moss.

Only just a school girl from Croydon in London, Kate Moss was discovered in 1988 at JFK Airport, New York. Patrick Demarchelier had said to his colleagues he hadn’t had a strong feeling about a model since Twiggy after seeing her at a Dolce & Gabbana shoot. A true fashion icon was born. From that moment on, she excelled further in the fashion industry. From endless high fashion campaigns to becoming a designer for Topshop, Kate became a fashion superstar. In 2005, she won the Vogue/CFDA award from the Fashion Designers of America for Fashion Inspiration.

Her style shows she is a rock chick at heart, but Kate definitely knows how to add glamour to any outfit. She takes on a laidback look incorporating a love for vintage pieces too. Speaking about her style to The London Times paper in 2008, she said, “I follow my feelings and just get dresses. For me, it’s not necessarily about trends or even interpreting catwalk looks.” Even if Kate chooses not to follow trends sometimes, she definitely knows how to create them! Kate brings a chic and cool edge to any look she harbours.

This year has still been busy for Kate as she still continues to conquer the fashion world. As well as her fabulous wedding to rock star Jamie Hince, she still manages to front many fashion campaigns such as Mango, Vogue Sunglasses, Dior Addict and David Yurman. She even has a new stunning collection of Longchamp bags. No matter what she does, Kate can do no wrong when it comes to fashion.
