She will always be notoriously known for playing the role of book-smart, sassy Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films but Emma Watson seems to have casted her own spell in the fashion world. Recently wowing everyone at the London premiere of Harry Potter wearing a stunning Oscar de la Renta dress, and then again in New York in a golden Bottega Veneta gown, I believe it is time to step back and admire Emma Watson for the massive style icon she has become.

With a busy schedule of 12-hour days filming Harry Potter and squeezing in time for an education even I’d be exhausted but Emma has managed to add many projects to her fashion resume. She modelled for Burberry’s fall collection in 2009 and designed her own ethically-made clothing line for People Tree. Cementing her fashion status, she has graced the covers of Vogue, Elle, Tatler and Marie Claire. This year, she was presented with the Elle Style Icon Award by fashion royalty, Vivienne Westwood. Emma is definitely a rising fashionista.

Emma takes on a fresh, preppy style and possesses a flair for vintage pieces. Her bold approach to fashion with her ever-changing hair and her flawless, fashion-forward looks on the red carpet always grabs the media’s attention. No matter what, Emma definitely knows how to make an entrance to any event and looks stunning. Something every girl envies!

Once again, she has collaborated with Alberta Ferretti for another eco-friendly collection called Pure Threads. The capsule collection was inspired by Emma’s fashion idol, Jane Birkin who embraces a 70’s feel. To add to this success, she is now the new face of Lancôme following in the footsteps of Julia Roberts, Penelope Cruz and Kate Winslet. The President of Lancôme International, Youcef Nabi, has said, “Thanks to her charm, romanticism and her incredible modernity, Emma Watson has become the icon of her generation.” I surely agree!
