It’s always exciting to find celebrity or runway looks for less especially for my Chiconomistas! Not only does it justify the Luxe for Less notion but it also justifies my thinking – Style doesn’t have to come with killer price tags. I had an OMG reaction when I found this maxi dress from River Island for £59.99 so similar to the famous Halston Heritage ensemble retailed at £658.
Aside from the hues, there’s hardly a difference in both frocks. Without taking away the timeless appeal from this Halston Heritage floor-length, I’ve found the high street version has a much nicer palette for the season du jour that will add a whimsical flair to this summer’s must-wear wedges. Since it’s arrival in 2009, the diffusion line of American well-known designer Halston, Halston Heritage has caused a fashion frenzy after it’s sting in Sex and The City 2.
Sarah Jessica Parker worn six of their dresses including the one in this edition and now you can get it for a fraction of the price! Isn’t that fabulous? Legendary fashion stylist Patricia Field when asked why Halston Heritage dresses played a huge role in SATC2 said, “I was just personally a little bit tired of all of these exaggerated, artifical shapes on clothing… I was feeling desiring, chic, simplicity and so I had turned to Halston“. If you want this look but your budget doesn’t stretch that far, turn to River Island for inexpensive effect. Enjoy!
