Hey Fashion Angels, there couldn’t be a better time to discuss Spring/Summer 2011 shoe trend. GI, a RV reader said earlier this week, “love, love this blog but I would love to see more posts on shoes as I am a shoe lover myself so would be nice to see more on trends with shoes… can’t wait for the post as I need some opinions on shoe trends”
Sarah Burton did the late Alexander McQueen justice to his innovative styles with this white artistic butterfly creation. The strappy sandal is of a modern age. Similarly Viktor & Rolf takes shoes trends back to the 70s with this platform wide width high heels. I’ve always wanted a pair. I think they are a lot easier to walk in. How trendy is the collar at the bottom of this straight-leg pants? Love!
Giambattista Valli has got me eager for summer so I can wear sandals just like these metallic cover flats. Other Designers such as Marni, Missoni and Marc Jacobs have all exhibited flats in their shows, It’s likely to be a hit this season! Zara is the first place I’ll be stopping by to find chic replicas.
Christopher Kane takes multi-coloured strappy sandals to new heights with neon and contrasting hues. This isn’t to my taste but I can see how it would work for a preppy fashionista!
Probably my favourite pair on the S/S shoe trends list- I die for these Lanvin tan stiletto heels! The gold studs creates a cool girl vibe while the black version screams biker chic! This would be my go-to-shoe look for spring. It would work perfectly with maxis and add the glam factor on a lazy day. Still in awe- These are my shoegasm of the month!
Definitely the most unusual footwear I’ve ever seen! How does Martin Maison Margiela make this look so cool and funky? You might not buy it but you’ll definitely try it on. He takes the almost boring courts to an oh-so-cool stance. What do you think? I can totally see how this will work for the stylish worker of the 21st century. Yum!
Snakeskin. Python. These sky-high heels with buckles by Emillio Pucci is already a hit; I spotted lookalikes on the TopShop website. Get ready to rock out in these and your blush toned frocks on night out. First thing that comes to my mind when looking at these coral shoes with silver holes by Blumarine is how fab it will be paired with cargo pants and a loose V-neck tank on a sunny day.
