A Ruby’s View Reader Dani asked me for some basic looks needed in a country bursting with sunshine. She said “could you come up with a post of the few essential clothings needed for christmas in a hot country? I mean outfit-wise. What are the must-haves and where can we get such items?”

Here’s a list of the essentials for a hot country:

A White Shirt: It’s classic and works really well with jeans and shorts. Dress it up with accessories.

Leggings: I love them so much I came up with an outfit inspiration for you featuring leggings. Statement necklace, perhaps a cocktail ring and you’re ready to step out when the sun goes down!

A Maxi Dress: For daytime chic, breezy maxis are great. Gold bangles or hoop earrings and wedges are a good way to seal the style all together.

A Tank Top: I always have tank tops when I’m on holiday. The all-time basic. You’ll be rocking your tanks on most hot days!

To the must-haves for christmas where the sun’s shinning:

A Party Frock: Christmas means more parties than usual right? Take inspiration from outfit 4 but if you want to maximise your look, opt for an LBD. There are so many ways to reboot your little black dress to suit all occasions. Click here to find out more!

A Sundress: A flirty floral dress is the perfect must-have!

The Perfect Tee: This is probably your most essential piece for a laid-back look. Create interest with T-shirts that have bold statements. Rock your Tee with combats shorts and a straw hat.

Gladiator Sandals: Walking around in heels all the time can be daunting, give your feet a break with roman sandals. I love them because they instantly glam up a maxi or sundress. Go for a tan hue to match your essentials.

Sunglasses are a more of a given in a hot destination but Ray-Bans are the oh-so chic brand to covet. Super stylish and fashion forward. I pulled most of the looks from ASOS.com which deliver internationally and shipping isn’t too expensive.

Hope this helps!
