Hey Fashion Dolls, November has us spoilt for choice as Lanvin collaborates with H&M, and now Gap is doing the same with Italian Designer Valentino, to celebrate the opening of their new flagship store in Milan. Valentino is known for its gorgeous evening-gowns worn by the biggest A-Listers. However Gap’s Patrick Robinson has commented that the brands are looking to create a collection filled with easy-to-wear pieces with a feminine flair.
The collection has been designed by Valentino’s Creative Directors Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri who have said ‘[they] are very pleased that Gap thought of [them] a partner for this important project, as it brings together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap’s fashion essentials, In this way Valentino and Gap synthesize the current trend of combining luxury with basics’.
Sadly for US Gap fans, the collection will only be available in selected branches of Gap in Italy, Paris and London from the 27th of November. Colette in Paris, Dover Street Market and the Oxford Street store in London will be stocking this ‘Must-Have collection’.
Expect combats, tulips skirts, cropped jackets, hoodies, parkas and more, all with Valentino’s signature ruffles and frills! Check out Grazia Magazine this week for more details. Let’s get the credit cards rolling cos I think I speak for all when I say we’ll be working overtime to pay those off this month. Enjoy!
