I recently picked up a floral dress at H&M and my girlies thought it could only be worn in Spring/Summer. WRONG! Winter is packed with dark hues and florals are a real way to add colour and femininity to a closet filled with tough staples. I love floral dresses for one thing- it suits all frames and you really don’t have to break the bank to get one.

Hit High Street stores like Warehouse, H&M, Zara and Miss Selfridge for some budget friendly florals! Opt for a long sleeved floral in the style of Jessica Alba. The dainty and silky fabric on a floral piece is oh-so-chic, it should be your-go-to-look this fall. It’s my ‘Winter Must-Wear’! So what’s the trick to looking effortlessly put together in a floral? A soft cardie is an easy one. I picked up a military style cardie for the dress and they are the perfect fit!

If you found yourself buying a lot of florals in the summer, another way to bring your look up to season is with opaque tights (Don’t forget your thermals underneath as the weather deteriorates!). Another way I would rock this look is with a biker jacket, opaque tights and courts. You’ll be channelling GRL to a T! People hardly wear bursting colours in winter, it’s time we put some fun back into dressing for this season starting here. Floral dresses will help you stand-out in a crowd of dark, single-block hues. Easy sophiscation at its best!
