A lot of people would probably ‘Rather go naked than wear Fur’ but with faux-fur qualities sky-rocketing in recent times, you literally can get away with looking just as good for less as most people can’t tell the difference between the real deal and a steal! As fur clothing played a major role in winter 2009/2010 Fashion Runways, it was bound to be big seller come Fall this year! So big, Karl Lagerfeld showcased head to toe fur in his new Chanel collection.

I went shopping recently and snapped up a fabulous faux-fur sleeveless cover-up from Zara and a cinch at the waist made all the difference. Other high street stores such as TopShop, French Connection, ASOS and Urban Outfitters are showing how to be chic in fur while on a budget (mostly under £120)! This faux-fur trend is so practical for warmth but is still such a glamorous and sophicated look!

For a subtle embrace to this trend, opt for a cover-up with a fur trim perhaps, a fur-collar coat or fur boots. Marks & Spencer, Dorothy Perkins and New Look have a variety to suit anyone still on the fence! Wear them with boots à la Ciara but preferably over-the-knee boots! Leather is highly complimentary with fur, take notes from Olivia Palmero. Also, you shouldn’t go without rocking fur and military hues.

Whether it’s a hit or miss, Faux-Fur is the new way to do Autumn/Winter coats! Don’t get left behind, incorporate this where it doesn’t hurt!
